quick start

from template to export in five minutes.

Open a template with Edit in Remix Studio, change the titles, swap the colors, then export your graphics. Four steps. That’s it.

  1. Pick a template

Browse templates on remixchurchmedia.com. A template that can be edited in Remix Studio has an Edit in Remix Studio button on its page.

  2. Click Edit in Remix Studio

On the template page, click Edit in Remix Studio. Every artboard opens already laid out.

  3. Make your edits

Change the title, add dates, update colors, or add an image.

  4. Save & export

Cmd/Ctrl + S saves to the cloud. Click Export, then Export All to download every artboard at once.

the editor

six sections. one simple layout.

Hover or tap a number to learn what each part of the editor does. Most everyday tasks live in two places: a panel on the left to add things, and the Properties panel on the right to style them.

  1. File, Edit, View, Insert, and Help on the left. On the right: Undo, Redo, the theme toggle, Keyboard Shortcuts, Back to Remix, Save, and Export.

  2. A column of icons down the left edge. Click one to open Artboards, Layers, Shapes, Text, or My Projects, or one of the Pro panels: Images, Design Toolkits, Icons & Glyphs, Brand Assets, and Sermon Builder.

  3. The panel on the right. It updates the moment you select something: fill, stroke, size, position, rotation, opacity, shadow, blend mode, and text controls.

  4. The big area in the middle where your artboards live. Scroll or hold Space and drag to pan, use Cmd/Ctrl + scroll or pinch to zoom, and right-click any element for quick actions.

  5. A small toolbar that appears next to whatever you’ve selected, with the most common controls for that kind of element. Text gets one set, a shape gets another.

  6. A bar along the bottom with a button for each artboard. Click one to jump to it, or hover for a quick preview.

Your work, autosaved to the cloud.

Start from a Remix template with the Edit in Remix Studio button on the template page. Every project saves automatically and follows you to any computer.

  • Edit in Remix Studio opens a template with all of its artboards ready to customize.
  • My Projects, in the left panel, is where you pick up any past project.
  • Export as PNG or JPEG, or as SVG or layered PSD with Pro.
  • Export All downloads every artboard at once in a single zip file.

One project. Every format.

An artboard is one design: a slide, a social post, a story. A project holds as many as you need, side by side on the canvas.

  • Start from a preset: HD Slide (1920 × 1080), Social Post (1080 × 1350), Story Post (1080 × 1920), or Social Square (1080 × 1080). Or enter a custom size for print, web banners, or stage screens.
  • Smart Reflow (Pro) turns a finished design into new sizes. Pick a source artboard and the sizes you need, and it rearranges your content to fit each one.
  • Linked Artboards keep your content and styles in sync. Change a title once and it updates on every linked artboard, while each one keeps its own layout.
  • Rename, duplicate, or delete an artboard from the floating toolbar or the right-click menu. Drag its name tab to move it around the canvas.

Text, shapes, images, icons.

Drop in everything a slide needs. Then reach for curved text, warp, and clipping masks when you want more.

  • Add text in one click, or start from a Quick Style: Heading, Subheading, or Body Text. Choose from the curated font library or upload your own.
  • Curved text and warp text (arch, bulge, wave, flag, and more) for headlines that feel designed.
  • Six shapes: rectangle, circle, triangle, line, star, and hexagon. Pro adds icons and glyphs. Restyle any of them in the Properties panel.
  • Upload PNG, JPEG, WebP, SVG, or GIF images. Crop them, round their corners, or clip one inside a shape. Pro adds Pexels stock photos and AI image generation.

Color, stroke, shadow, blend.

It’s all in the Properties panel. Select an element and style it. No menus to dig through.

  • Solid, gradient, or pattern fills. Paste a hex code, reuse your document’s colors, save favorites, or grab any color on screen with the eyedropper (Chromium-based browsers).
  • Strokes and drop shadows with simple sliders. Add a stroke to text to give it an outline.
  • Opacity and 16 blend modes on everything, rounded corners on rectangles and images, and brightness, contrast, and film-look presets for photos.
  • Brand Assets (Pro) saves your logos, colors, and fonts once so they’re ready in every project.

Smart guides line things up for you. Nudge 1 pixel with the arrow keys, or 10 with Shift.

  • Snapping lines up edges and centers with other elements and with the artboard. Turn it on or off with the magnet button.
  • Change the stacking order with ] and [. Add Cmd/Ctrl to jump straight to the front or back.
  • Align and flip in one click. Group with Cmd/Ctrl + G, then press Enter to edit inside the group.
  • Combine shapes with Union, Subtract, Intersect, and Exclude to build custom marks and logos.

Keep complex designs sane.

The Layers panel lists every element on every artboard. Search, rename, lock, and hide.

  • Show, hide, or lock any layer to protect your work or focus on one piece.
  • Double-click a layer to rename it, and search by name when a project grows.
  • Drag layers to reorder them, or drop one onto another artboard to move it there. Color-tag rows to keep things organized.
  • Click a layer to select it on the canvas, even when something else is stacked on top.

things people ask

quick answers from the troubleshooting guide.

Do I need to install anything to use Remix Studio?

No. Remix Studio runs in your browser: Chrome, Safari, or Edge. Your projects autosave to the cloud and follow you to any computer.

What’s the difference between Standard and Pro?

Standard includes the editor: artboards, text, shapes, layers, projects, and PNG and JPEG exports. Pro adds Smart Reflow, AI image generation, Sermon Builder, Pexels stock, Design Toolkits, Brand Assets, Icons & Glyphs, and SVG and layered PSD exports.

Will the AI features train on my designs?

No. Your project data isn’t shared as training data. What you make stays yours, and anything the AI creates is fully editable. Press Cmd/Ctrl + Z to undo it any time.

What if my fonts don’t load?

Try a hard refresh of the browser tab. The font list in Remix Studio is curated. If a custom font you uploaded isn’t loading, try uploading it again.

How do I export every artboard at once?

Click Export, pick a format, then click Export All. Every artboard downloads together in one zip file. Choose PNG for general use, or JPEG if your design has no transparent areas.
