New year kickoff graphics: sermon series art and 21 days of prayer promo for 2027

A new year kickoff needs two sets of graphics: sermon series art for January, and a 21 days of prayer set with a daily prayer graphic. In 2027, a fast that starts Monday, January 4 ends on Sunday, January 24. Announce both on December 27 and January 3.

The dates for 2027

Sunday, December 27. Announce the series and the 21 days. Title slides in the announcements, a social post that afternoon.
Sunday, January 3. The first sermon in the series. Hand out the prayer guide.
Monday, January 4 to Sunday, January 24. Twenty-one days of prayer. A story every morning, and a post each Monday.
Sunday, January 24. Close with a night of worship or a celebration Sunday, and say thank you.

The sermon series

January series do best when they're practical and hopeful: a fresh start, a clear vision for the year, or the habits people are about to try anyway. Run it four weeks, January 3 to 24, so it ends the same Sunday as the fast.

Fresh start. Lamentations 3:22-23, Isaiah 43:19, 2 Corinthians 5:17. New mercies, a new thing, a new creation.
Vision. Where the church is headed this year and how people can be part of it. One Sunday, or the first week of the series.
Habits. Prayer, scripture, rest and generosity. Four habits, four weeks.

21 days of prayer: the graphics

A title slide for the announcement Sundays and every Sunday during the fast.
A daily prayer story with the day number and the focus on it: "Day 6: pray for your neighbors." Post it early, around 6 or 7 am, when people pray.
A printed prayer guide. One page, 21 days, a focus and a verse for each. Use the blank background behind it.
A social post each Monday with the week's focus.
A lower third if you hold prayer nights on the livestream.

What to put on them

Both dates. "January 4 to 24."
What kind of fast. A meal a day, social media or a Daniel fast. People want to know what they're signing up for.
Where to get the guide. A link, the app or the welcome table.
When you meet, if you pray together. "Prayer nights, Wednesdays at 7."

Leave the year off the graphics you'll reuse. "21 Days of Prayer" works next January too. "21 Days of Prayer 2027" doesn't.
